Characters, creatures and settings drawn by hand and colored in watercolor or digital, for stories that deserve a beautiful world to live in.
I like drawing worlds that feel like they already have a history before I even get there. I work a lot with fantasy, characters that are cute and a bit eccentric, and settings that invite you to stay looking at the details for a while.
My style moves between traditional scanned watercolor and digital painting, always searching for a soft palette and a cozy feeling, even when the drawing is just a black and white sketch.
I really enjoy children's illustration because I believe kids deserve careful design too: colors that are lovely to look at, characters with personality and a touch of magic on every page.
I draw to create places where I myself would like to get a little lost.
Nine pieces that show a bit of how I think about character, color and setting
A château painted in watercolor, with gray roofs and neatly trimmed gardens out front. I enjoyed the challenge of keeping the architecture accurate without losing the lightness of the watercolor, and leaving the trees a bit messy to contrast with the symmetry of the facade.

A concept sheet with the main character, a color palette and a row of little mushroom mascots with faces. I like putting together these reference pages because they help me think of the character as a whole, from the outfit to the little creatures living in his pocket.

A little fairy with red hair and braids, surrounded by rabbits flying around her. This is a style closer to what I usually post on social media, with colored outlines and a very sweet palette.

A sketch from the process, still with the construction lines visible. I like showing this stage because it's where I decide the expression and the tilt of the head before finishing the final line.

An isometric cutaway of a café full of little cats, shelves and small tables. I love drawing settings like this because each cat gets to have its own pose and its own little story inside the scene.

A second version of the café, now in a more rustic tone, with a bookshelf, vines on the ceiling and a small staircase outside. I explored a more earthy palette here and added a lot more cats scattered around the scene.

Character sheet for a half elf witch, with her black cat and the items she carries: a spellbook, a dagger, an old letter, a quill and ink. I really enjoy making this kind of reference for RPGs, it's where I get to tell someone's personality just through the objects they keep.

A forest gnome, druid of the circle of stars, drawn over an aged paper background with purple ornaments. This was one of the sheets I had the most fun drawing the accessories for, especially the shield with the constellation.

A mushroom lady walking along with her apron and spotted hat, a cuter and homier study, thinking a lot about the world of children's illustration and how to give someone personality just through posture and outfit.
